DEBASISH SASMAL is Vice President with responsibilities for deal origination, investment analysis, due diligence and portfolio management in the technology and life sciences sectors within North America.

Debasish brings over 6 years of operational experience in the high technology sector in both Canada and the United States. Prior to MMV Financial, Debasish was a Product Engineer at PMC-Sierra, where he was responsible for operational management of test-phase of telecom semiconductor devices. He was a part of the product management team for the development of new products, working closely with the company's strategic customers.

Debasish graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology (with Honors) degree. He received a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria and an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
